The 11th annual Norma Day
Community Festival will be held at the Norma Mennonite
Church picnic grounds, 173 Almond Road (Route 540), on
Saturday, Sept. 11 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine.
Admission is free.
The yard sales and festival will open at 9 a.m.
There will be children's activities including free hayrides,
pony rides, a bounce about and face painting.
Of special interest to collectors of local history there is
a limited supply of Norma Mennonite Church Cat's Meow
figures still available on a first come, first serve basis.
These collectibles were created for the church's 50th
anniversary celebration in 2009.
Elbert Johnson of Johnson Trucking and his family are
returning with their barbecue chicken and ribs. Baked goods
will also be available.
The event will feature concerts by local artists every hour.
Everyone who attends is invited to enter for the door prizes
donated by local businesses.
