Minutes for the Pittsgrove Township Environmental Commission

Meeting of February 28, 2005

 

1.  The meeting was called to order at 7:37 pm. 

 

2.  Attendees said the Pledge to the Flag.

 

  1. Herb stated that the meeting was in compliance with the Open Public Meetings Act.  The meeting was advertised in The Daily Journal, Today’s Sunbeam, and on the public notice bulletin board located in the Municipal Building, and filed with the Township Clerk.

           

4.    Members in attendance: Herb Wegner, Meghan Hack, Timothy Hack, Barry Glogau, Delores Glogau,   Christine Seeney, Greg Hickson, Kevin Garrison, Robert Widdifield, Bob Morse.  Other attendees were   Maxine Hargus, Gary Hargus, Tom Figlio, as well as members of the Pittsgrove Historical Society.

            Members of the PHS stood up to be recognized, and then the members of the EC stood up to be   recognized.

 

5.  Minutes of the January 24, 2004 meeting were reviewed.  They were amended to reflect that Bob Morse was also in attendance.  Greg Hickson made a    motion to accept the amended minutes.  Bob Morse seconded the motion.  All approved.

 

6.  Herb explained the history of the Environmental Commission, the creation of the ERI and OSP, and the Planning Incentive Grant.

 

     7. Herb introduced Mark Demitroff from East Vineland who will speak after the adjournment of the meeting.

         He’ll discuss spungs, blue holes, savannahs, vernal pools and early settlements. 

 

     8. Bob Morse made a motion to adjourn the meeting.  Christine Seeney seconded the motion.  All

         approved.  The meeting was adjourned at 7:55 pm.
