Three contracts have been issued: Amy Greene and Associates ($8,000)
will be developing the ERI, the Morris Land Conservancy ($15,000) will be
helping to create our Open Space Plan, and Go Native ($9,000) offers their
consultant Dennis Miranda.
6. A
Geographic Information System Disc has been provided by the Engineers office of
Salem County and copies were forwarded to our three contractors.
7.
Morris Land Conservancy has requested additional documentation from the
Township to help develop our Open Space Plan.
We must gather the information and give it to them before our next
meeting because a consultant will be at our July meeting to discuss the
documentation and the development of Pittsgrove’s Open Space Plan. The public will also be asked for input
during the development of Pittsgrove’s OSP.
8.
Patti Burns from the Association of New Jersey Environmental Commissions
(ANJEC) discussed Bill S1368/A3008- fast tracking of development. The Rutgers University Law Center is
challenging the legislation citing the lack of public debate. She also urged us to be sure to include a
section on Brownfields and redevelopment of them in our Open Space Plan. Also, the Pittsgrove EC can volunteer to
host an ANJEC meeting in the future if we want.
9.
Mayor Voros announced that the Township has been awarded a grant (approximately
$100,000) for an inventory to be conducted at the site of the Garrison
Pit. The company that will work with
