Redevelopment Area – Dennis Miranda spoke at the June 28, 2005 Township Committee meeting about environmental concerns.

Farmland PIG- Herb is discussing financing/cost sharing with the Township.  Municipalities that designate specific areas in which to preserve farms pay 15%. Those that do not choose to have a say in which areas are preserved get full funding.

Letter to Planning Board regarding Porchtown subdivision recommendations (Licardello property) still needs to be written

Subcommittee Reports: Meeting dates to be set over the next few weeks

Public Relations Committee - Meghan Hack is coordinating with Nancy Merritt from Salem County Watershed Association to create a “Birds in Salem County” display for the Salem County Fair.  The EC is also working on applying for Adopt-a-Road.

Ordinance Review – Stream ordinance revision is still being drafted. Bob Morse will email us the latest version for member comment.

Natural Resources- committee hasn’t met yet

7. New Business

Renwick subdivision (Lawrence Corner/McKishen Rd- 93 acres) -  As of now, Green Acres is not interested in buying this ground.  However, Green Acres decided that, if the township can provide its share of the cost, Green Acres may be interested.  We need to find more sources of money to have power to use Green Acres funds. Some properties may need more than one source of funding to provide enough money.

A representative from DEP has volunteered to meet with us about wetlands responsibility.

August 12 at 7 pm - meeting at the Ware building about an amendment for the Delaware regarding the Total Maximum Daily Load of phosphorus

There is an ANJEC meeting about Imap - Bob Morse will email us the information

8. Issues before the Planning Board: Only minor applications are on the table at this time

9. Communications

The chairman shared a letter from Economic Development Committee enlisting our help to identify and preserve environmentally sensitive areas in the newly designated Redevelopment Area.  Bob Morse and Meghan Hack volunteered to help Herb with this endeavor.

The Shade Tree Advisory Committee will attend our next meeting to share information about a revision to the tree ordinance and about the tree inventory completed by ForesTrees Consultants
