The Pittsgrove Township Senior Center
The second phase of renovations to the
Senior Center
are
nearing completion. The air handling units for heating and cooling the building are being
tested,
the men’s rest room is now ADA accessible, the hot water heater is
installed, the second floor stairwell and side door are completed and the building
now
has new Electrical and Natural Gas services. The Township will now
determine the scope and schedule for the next phase of renovations.
Additional work including installation of drop ceilings, replacement
of floors & windows, insulation, exterior finish, site grading and
paving for parking are planned in the next phase of work. The senior center
is not open for use, but those interested in using the facility for
meetings
or events after renovations are completed are asked to contact
Mary Creamer-Stenberg to be added to the mailing list.
A fee schedule has been issued for future use of the
center as follows:
Seniors would be
given preference in scheduling over non-seniors; residents would be
given preference in scheduling over non-residents. Seniors would be
defined as age fifty (50) and over.
There would
be no charge for senior activities.
Non profit
use by a Pittsgrove Township organization (add $100.00 for out of
Township organizations) worthy of being supported by Township taxpayers
(Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Township sports clubs, etc.) would be charged
as follows:
Regular monthly
meetings $1.00/year Single event meetings $1.00/event Special events (banquet, dinner) $150.00/event Deposit for all events $100.00/year/event
Non profit
use by a Pittsgrove Township organization (add $100.00 for out of
Township organizations) not worthy of being supported by Township
taxpayers (political organizations, homeowner’s associations, etc.)
would be charged as follows:
Regular monthly
meetings $250.00/year * Single event meetings $25.00/event Special event (banquet, dinner) $400.00 for first floor only $250.00 for second floor only $600.00 for first and second floors Deposit for all events $100.00/year/event

For profit
use by a Pittsgrove Township organization (add $100.00 for out of
Township organizations) (weddings, receptions, fund raisers, etc.) would
be charged as follows:
Per event $500.00
for first floor only $350.00 for second floor only $800.00 for first and second floors Deposit for all events $500.00/event
* One (1) meeting
per month; $300.00 per year for two (2) meetings per month; add $25.00
for each additional meeting per month.
