> PUBLIC NOTICE TOWNSHIP OF PITTSGROVE, IN THE COUNTY OF SALEM AN ORDINANCE APPROVING PROPERTY TAX AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE TOWNSHIP OF PITTSGROVE AND STEVE PERKINS/HARDING HVAC SUPPLY FOR BLOCK 201, LOT 10 WHEREAS, the Township of Pittsgrove heretofore adopted Ordinance No. 7-96 on August 14, 1996, providing for tax exemption relating to new construction of commercial and industrial structures in the Township of Pittsgrove; and WHEREAS, Steve Perkins/Harding HVAC Supply, has filed an application for tax exemption for the construction of a commercial or industrial structure under tax agreement (50 x 150 pole barn and land improvements) situate in Pittsgrove Township, located on property identified on the Pittsgrove Township Tax Map as Block 201, Lot 10; and WHEREAS, the said application has been reviewed and approved by the Township Committee and it has determined that granting of the application is in the interest of the Township of Pittsgrove and in furtherance of encouraging construction of new commercial-industrial structures in keeping with the intent and purpose of N.J.S.A. 40A:21-1, et seq. and Township Ordinance No. 7-96; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Township Committee of the Township of Pittsgrove, in the County of Salem and Stat eof New Jersey that the Township enter into a Tax Agreement with Steve Perkins/Harding HVAC Supply. The Tax Agreement, which has been placed on file with the Township Administrator and is available for examination by the public during normal business hours shall provide that Steve Perkins/Harding HVAC Supply shall pay to the Township of Pittsgrove in lieu of full property tax payments on the improvements in the Project an amount equal to the percentage of taxes otherwise due, according to the following schedule: 1. In 2007 the first calendar year after completion, no payment in lieu of taxes otherwise due; 2. In 2008 the second calendar year, 20% of taxes otherwise due; 3. In 2009, the third calendar year, 40% of taxes otherwise due; 4. In 2010, the fourth calendar year, 60% of taxes otherwise due; 5. In 2011, the fifth calendar year, 80% of taxes otherwise due; In the years subsequent to 2011, taxes shall be paid in full as a result of all improvements created. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Mayor and Clerk are authorized to sing said Agreement on behalf of the Township. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that certified copies of said Agreement shall be forwarded within thirty (30) days of execution to the following persons: 1. Pittsgrove Township Tax Assessor 2. Pittsgrove Township Tax Collector 3. County Board of Taxation; and 4. Director of the Division of Local Government Services in the Department of Community Affairs as required by N.J.S.A. 40A:21-11. Garton, Clerk NOTICE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the foregoing proposed Ordinance was introduced and passed on first reading by the Mayor and Township Committee of the Township of Pittsgrove, County of Salem, State of New Jersey, at a regular meeting held on the 27th day of June, 2006. A public hearing will be conducted by the Township Committee at a regular meeting to be held on the 25th day of July, 2006 at 7:30 p.m. in the Municipal Building, 989 Centerton Road, Pittsgrove, New Jersey, after which the Ordinance will be considered for final passage.
