EASTER EGG HUNT

Audrey Mavroff, Kate Harrison, Risea Rodgers, Jeff Ridgway and Walt Wenner all reported the Easter Egg Hunt was a huge success.  The weather was beautiful and attendance was high and all the children who participated had a wonderful time. On a motion by Walt Wenner and seconded by Kate Harrison extra prizes from the event will be stored in the municipal building basement until next year.

MAINTENANCE AT GREEN BRANCH / DEER PEN  AND UNITY PARKS

Harry Snyder reported fields are being fertilized and he is waiting to hear from the soccer club regarding their contracting with a private contractor for maintenance of soccer fields. The parking lots are progressing and he is hoping to have some more paving completed over the summer. Some trees are being planted to help with the wind.  He also wanted to let the committee know the soccer club did a nice job cleaning up the park after the Easter Tournament they hosted. A Gazebo has been ordered for Deer Pen Park.  Grants are being worked on for Unity Park.  Kate Harrison made a suggestion that it would be a nice addition to have some sort of baby swing put over at the playground at Green Branch Park.  Harry Snyder explained that for insurance reasons the swing must be separate from other equipment which makes it a big expense (possibly  $1800.00).

PITTSGROVE DAY

Linda DuBois reported Pittsgrove Day is coming together.  Donation and participation letters have been sent out.  She wants to keep a master list of everything so it is all in one place.  She also wants to be able to acknowledge donations in the newspaper.  Vendors have started to sign up.  Volunteers are needed to work the day of the event.  Donations are being sought to help with various activities during the day.  Parvins State Park Appreciation Committee have their events in place for the day also.  On a motion by Audrey Mavroff and seconded by Walt Wenner expenditures of $6400.00 for rides and $6,000.00 for fireworks were approved.

VOTE: ALL IN FAVOR
