OLD BUSINESS:

GROUP  INSURANCE

Jeff Ridgway spoke to Dave Mulford, Township Administrator and he has checked with JIF.  If the teams were to go this route they would loose their individuality.  Other insurance possibilities are being looked into.  Kathy Shelton is going to get information on company that provides a blanket policy that includes the hockey team her son plays on.  Committee members agreed a blanket policy might be a better option.  This will be revisited at the next meeting.

PARK REQUESTS

Secretary notified PSC, Pittsgrove Midget Football and Generals DFL that requests have been approved contingent upon detailed schedules from each group.  No detailed schedules have been provided.

FACILITY VISITS

Committee members are scheduled to visit other facilities on Saturday, February 11th.  Members will meet at the municipal building at 8:30am and travel to Buena, West Deptford, Washington Township and Hamilton Township.  The trip will help members to have some ideas for facilities in Pittsgrove Township. Members would like to see some equipment for older children at the parks.  The members will also stop by the new Senior Center to see the work that has been completed.

 ODD FELLOWS HALL

Jeff Ridgway reported the facility is up and running.  Activities for the senior citizens have begun.  Next phase of construction will be starting and this will include electrical upgrades and air conditioning. Many groups have inquired about using the facility. Township Committee should be able to provide detailed information about use  for those groups shortly.

ANIMAL ORDINANCE

Jeff Ridgway informed the members that the request for zoning officer/public works employees to be empowered to enforce the animal ordinances at the parks went to Township Committee and has been referred to the Township Solicitor for review. While discussing the parks, Walt Wenner inquired if the township might be able to help repair a  goal post broken during one of the recent storms at Green Branch Park.  Jeff Ridgway will speak to Harry Snyder to see if anything can be done with it.

There being no further business on a motion by Kate Harrison and seconded by Ralph Padilla, the meeting was adjourned at 8:50pm. VOTE:  ALL IN FAVOR

Respectfully submitted,

Donna Metzger, Secretary
