MINUTES
JUNE 7, 2004
The Recreation Advisory Committee held it’s regularly scheduled meeting in the Pittsgrove Municipal Building on June 7, 2004.
Members present were Bruce
Ricards, Risea Rodgers and Joan Wojulewski.
Alternate members in attendance were Audrey Mavroff, Sue Voros and Kathy
Shelton. Sub committee member in
attendance was Maxine Hargus. Walt
Wenner was in attendance.
DESIGNATION
OF ALTERNATES
Audrey Mavroff and Sue Voros were designated to perform the duties of regular members.
On a motion made by Sue Voros and seconded by Audrey Mavroff, the aforementioned minutes were approved as submitted.

OLD BUSINESS:
Forms for Brtomanville contest have been finalized. The forms for broth projects will be included in the next township newsletter. The brick forms are now on the Pittsgrove Township web site and the Brotmanville Recreation contest forms will also be sent home with students in September when school starts.
PITTSGROVE
DAY
Joan Wojulewski reported the day was a huge success. An estimated crowd of 5,000 attended the event. The Pittsgrove Day sub committee will handle suggestions made for next year.

SKATE
PARK
The Township Committee has agreed to pursue the idea of an In-Line Skate Park thanks to PLACE class presentation made to Recreation and Township Committee. The Township Administrator has been asked to determine the next step and proceed with the project.

BUSINESS:
VOTE: ALL IN FAVOR
On a motion by Audrey Mavroff and seconded by Sue Voros, park request for the PTMS Student Council Picnic was approved.

On a motion by Sue Voros and seconded by Joan Wojulewski, payment of invoices submitted by the Pittsgrove Wrestling Association was approved.

GREEN BRANCH PARK
Walt Wenner was in attendance on behalf of Pittsgrove Midget Football. He inquired if minutes of the meetings were available to the public. The secretary informed him the minutes are available on the Pittsgrove Township web site. Mr. Wenner asked why there was no longer a lock on the gate to the park. He also informed the committee that there is no lock on the electrical box at the main entrance to the park and the boxes need some maintenance. Bruce Ricards suggested that new combination locks be put at these locations and the combinations given to who might need them. The secretary will contact Harry Snyder regarding the locks and maintenance of the electrical boxes.
Sue Voros informed the
committee that an open house will be taking place at the Odd Fellows Hall on
Friday, June 11th from 5:00-9:00pm.
There being no further business on a motion by Audrey Mavroff and seconded by Sue Voros, the meeting was adjourned at 8:40pm.
