Trees
Throughout
history, people have planted trees in remembrance of loved ones and special
events. These living legacies not only
honor the departed, they bring joy to those who live, work and play under their
branches
.
The Shade
Tree Advisory Committee continues this tradition through Pittsgrove’s Memorial
and Commemorative Tree Program. For a
small, one-time contribution to the committee, you
can have a tree planted in Green Branch Park in memory of a loved one or to
commemorate an important life event.
The donated
tree serves to honor and remember while benefiting
the community through
cooling, air and noise pollution reduction, and natural beauty.
Your
contribution provides for the purchase, planting, and continued care of the
shade tree. A small plaque can be displayed,
if desired.
A park bench
can also be added under or near the commemorative
tree adding to both the commemoration and the beauty of the park.
