UNSAFE BUILDINGS AND GRAFFITI

Pittsgrove Township is serious about cleaning up our community. Township officials are concerned about the conditions and violations on may properties and will take all necessary action to bring those properties up to code.

Existing codes now being enforces state that:
1) All inoperable, junk, disassembled, unregistered, out of repair vehicles along with storage of tire, construction debris, trash , and bulky household items are to be stored outside are prohibited and must be removed from the property;
2) All buildings that are dilapidated, out of repair, dangerous, unsafe or unfit for  occupancy shall be demolished and removed from the property;
3) Where graffiti exists on any property the owner shall have it removed or paint over it. Anyone is violation of these codes shall be fined, imprisoned, serve community service, or cause costs of cleanup/demolition to become a lien against the property for non-compliance.

Residents in the process of cleaning up their property should notify Robert Berducci, the Zoning/Housing Code Enforcement Officer, in writing to avoid violations or penalties.
