Smash, Scrape & Destroy! – Spotted Lanternfly
October 2021 –
We are now in the Spotted Lanternfly Egg Laying Season. Female lanternfly will lay their eggs anywhere and each egg mass can contain 30-50 eggs that can survive the winter. One of the best ways to decrease the spread of this invasive insect is to destroy as many egg masses as possible, reducing the hatching of the eggs in the Spring. The fall is a great time to inspect for Lanternfly egg masses around your property. Don’t forget to inspect yard furniture & bbq grills before you store it for the winter!
